Ram Mandir Donations Theft: In the last two days, the authorities have been seen in action in the Ayodhya Ram temple donation theft case, which created a huge outrage across the nation. On Thursday, police filed an FIR and arrested eight accused. They were sent to judicial custody for three days on Friday.
All eight accused were produced before Special Remand Magistrate Nivedita Singh in the Faizabad court. The police have not yet obtained their remand. Due to the Muharram holiday, the eight were produced before the Special Remand Magistrate Court. They will appear again in court on Monday, and the police will attempt to seek custody.
Who Are Eight The Accused?
Following the SIT's report, the police registered a case yesterday at the Ayodhya police station based on the complaint of Krishna Mohan, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. A named FIR was filed against eight individuals. In addition to Ramshankar Yadav Tinnu, who is involved in the temple management, trust employee Anukalp Mishra, his brother-in-law Lavkush Mishra, Tinnu's nephew Manish Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramshankar Mishra, Avinash Shukla, and retired bank employee Subhash Srivastava are named in the FIR and have been sent to jail. Among these, Tinnu Yadav's name is most prominent because he is said to be close to influential people associated with the trust.
Ram Temple Trust’s Champat Rai, Anil Mishra Resign
The biggest development in the case happened when the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and member Dr Anil Mishra resigned from their posts, following the growing
voices that Rai's presence in the office may affect the probe. Mishra, one of the founding trustees of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, is considered one of the prominent local figures associated with the Ram Temple movement. A homoeopathic physician by profession, Mishra has long been active in social, religious, and organisational activities in Ayodhya.
'Don't Put Ram Devotees To The Test': CM Yogi Lashes Out At Opposition
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the opposition. Addressing a public rally in Deoria. The chief minister said the government had made it clear from day one that "the truth will be revealed" in the donation case. As soon as the SIT report was released, strict action was immediately initiated.

Yogi criticised those questioning Ayodhya and Lord Shri Ram, saying that Ayodhya is a symbol of our faith. Don't criticise Ayodhya and learn to respect the dignity of Shri Ram. Targeting the opposition, he said that those who are raising questions about this matter today have never had good intentions.
'Those Who Didn't Believe In Shri Ram, Ram Setu Are Now Remembering God'
Former Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma took a jab at the opposition parties, saying that those who didn't believe in the existence of Shri Ram and Ram Setu called them imaginary. "They even challenged it in court. Now, with the 2027 assembly elections approaching, they have started prostrating themselves before Ram Lalla and even building temples.
SIT Set To Investigate Land Purchases
The SIT, which is investigating the Ram Temple offering theft case, will now examine the land documents purchased for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and question those involved. The veracity of these allegations will be examined, including the extent of profits made in the land purchases and the reasons for the misuse of Trust funds to purchase expensive land.
Arvind Kejriwal Visits Ram Temple
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal visited the Ram temple in Ayodhaya on Friday. After offering prayers, he targeted the government, saying the FIR filed in the donation theft case is just a showcase and an attempt to protect prominent individuals.
