According to Jagran sources, counting personnel are working eight hours per shift. They spend the entire time sorting notes and assembling them into bundles. Under the new rules, the first shift runs from 8 am to 4 pm, and the second shift starts at 12:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm.
Donation Counting Workers' Shifts Extended By 2 Hours
Previously, each shift lasted six hours. This change was confirmed by an employee, who stated that the duration had increased, but the remuneration remained the same, making it impossible to continue working.
Previously, a trial was conducted to count donations in a single shift. At that time, several outsourced employees were deployed alongside bank employees. However, after the trial, it was decided to count donations in two shifts.
The donation amount has certainly decreased slightly in July compared to June. However, bank officials and trustees claim that the donation amount remains between Rs 18 and 20 lakh, as before.
Meanwhile, the jail administration has imposed strict restrictions on visits to those accused in the Ram Temple donation theft, allowing access only to ten designated blood relatives and, in addition, their wives.
The process of meeting these prisoners, who are under special protection, is different from that of ordinary prisoners. They are allowed to meet their relatives in a separate room in front of CCTV cameras.
A local intelligence unit employee is also present during this time. On Saturday, a relative of Karunesh and Ramashankar Mishra, accused of stealing offerings, arrived to meet under tight surveillance.
