The office bearers of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite him for the Pran-Pratishtha program at Ram Temple in Ayodhya. PM Modi took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to divulge the details of his meeting with officials from Ram Temple Trust.

“Today is a day full of emotions. Recently the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had come to meet me at my residence. They have invited me to come to Ayodhya on the occasion of the consecration of the Shri Ram temple. I feel very blessed. It is my good fortune that in my lifetime, I will witness this historic occasion,” he wrote.

On January 22, 2024, the statue of Lord Rama will be installed in the Ram Temple. The ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ program will take place after the establishment of Lord Shri Ram’s idol. Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust General Secretary, Champat Rai, confirmed that the idol of Lord Ram will be installed at the temple on January 22, and PM Modi has accepted their invitation.

After hanging fire for years, the issue of the Ram Mandir construction was resolved through a historic verdict of the Supreme Court. The apex court in 2019 allotted the contentious land for the construction of Ram Temple, following which the ‘Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' Trust was formed to oversee the exercise.
