Ravi Kishan Threatened: Ravi Kishan, the Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur Sadar seat and a popular actor, received a death threat over a phone call. The caller called the MP's personal secretary, Shivam Dwivedi, saying 'he would shoot Ravi Kishan in four days as he speaks against Yadavs'.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday night at 11 pm. The MP's PRO, Pawan Dubey, submitted a written complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Friday evening, stating that the accused not only hurled abuses over the phone but also repeatedly made religious and caste-based remarks against Kishan.
Caller Reveals His Identity
The caller identified himself as Ajay Yadav and said he lives in Jawania village in the Arrah district of Bihar. When Shivam protested, the caller said, "I know about all of Ravi Kishan's activities. When he comes to Bihar in four days, I will shoot him."
The accused also supported the controversial statement made by Bhojpuri singer Khesari Lal Yadav, in which he suggested building a hospital in Ayodhya instead of a Ram Temple.
The caller also used derogatory language regarding Lord Ram and the temple. He further stated over the phone that he fears no one. The PRO demanded that a case be registered against the accused and that the MP's security be increased. The complaint states that the threat appears to be premeditated.
Following instructions from SSP Rajkaran Nayyar, the Ramgarhtal police station has initiated an investigation. SP City Abhinav Tyagi stated that the cyber and surveillance teams are gathering information about the phone number from which the call was made. The accused will be arrested soon, he added.
