The top court's remarks came after the CBI submitted a fresh status report in a sealed cover.

"We have looked at the status report of the CBI. Making a disclosure today about what the CBI is doing will jeopardize the course of the investigation. The line of further CBI investigation intends to unearth absolute truth and further truth," the bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said.

The top court further directed the CBI to submit a status report on the probe into alleged financial irregularities at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

The Supreme Court further directed Wikipedia to remove the name and photo of the 31-year-old victim, saying "in the interest of maintaining the dignity of the victim, the governing principle is the identity of rape of the victim should not be disclosed" after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta raised the issue during today's hearing.
