RIMS Doctor Death Case:  Days after the burnt body of a junior doctor, identified as Dr Madan Kumar M, was found inside the RIMS Ranchi complex, the victim's family on Friday filed a first information report (FIR) with the Ranchi police after they reached the institute from Tamil Nadu's Madurai. His father Mathiyalagan broke down while talking to the reporters about his son's death, a local newspaper Shubham Sandesh reported.

Junior Doctor's Body Takes Out Candle March, Police Register '302' case
Even though the Ranchi police have registered a section 302 (homicide) case against an unknown person, officers are not clarifying the nature of the death. The Junior Doctor's Association of RIMS took out a candle march in their colleague's memory and demanded that a fair and fast investigation be done. They also decided to contribute money for his ill mother.

Dr Vikas Kumar, former JDA president posted the details of the march on the social media platform X.

"We have lost Dr. Madan. Candle march was taken out peacefully by IMA, Jhansa, SBI, and JDA for the peace and justice of his soul. He was the only son of the family and belonged to a very poor family (his father was a carpenter), recently his mother had gone on a ventilator due to illness, due to which the family was in financial crisis," he wrote.

"On behalf of the Government, RIMS and Doctors Association, I appeal for financial help to this family. This loss cannot be compensated with money, but it will give strength to the family in this difficult time. @HemantSorenJMM @BannaGupta76 @ranchi_rims @FordaIndia," he added while tagging the chief minister and various other medical bodies in his post.
