Riya Barde Porn Star: The Hill Line police in Maharashtra's Thane district on Thursday arrested a Bangladeshi national, Riya Barde, who is reportedly a porn star, from Ulhasnagar for allegedly staying in India illegally and obtaining an Indian passport using forged documents. Riya Barde, aka Arohi Barde, was living in Ambernath town of Thane district with bogus documents, along with her relatives.
According to the police, as reported by news agency PTI, Riya Barde was arrested following a tip-off about her status as a Bangladeshi national and her involvement in a cheating and forgery case. An FIR has been filed against Riya Barde aka Arohi Barde under IPC sections related to cheating, forgery and common intention, along with the Foreigners Act.
Meanwhile, a search is also underway for four accomplices of Riya Barde, including her mother, who were also involved in the cheating and forgery case. According to several media reports, Riya's mother, originally hailing from Bangladesh, was allegedly married to an Indian man from Maharashtra's Amravati, who reportedly helped in forging their documents and illegal stay in India.
A report by PTI stated that Riya Barde had been questioned by police a year ago following a complaint regarding her Indian citizenship credentials. During that investigation, authorities discovered that Barde had allegedly conspired to secure a school transfer certificate from Bangladesh for one of her associates, along with a birth certificate from the North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.
These forged documents were then used to obtain educational qualifications and passports for the accomplices involved. Further investigation of Riya Barde’s documents uncovered inconsistencies. Her birth certificate, school leaving certificate and passport each listed different places of birth — North 24 Parganas, Hooghly (both in West Bengal) and Achalpur in Maharshtra's Amravati district, according to the PTI report.
Sub-inspector Sangram Malkar, who investigated the case, said, "In the probe, we found that Riya's mother, Anjali, is a resident of Bangladesh, and she was living illegally in India with her two daughters, including Riya, and a son. Riya's mother married Arvind Barde, a resident of Amravati, claiming to be from West Bengal. She later got an Indian passport made by submitting fake birth certificates and other fake documents for herself and the children to prove her Indian identity."
The cops later found out that her mother and her husband were reportedly in Qatar, and the search for her siblings was on. Police have claimed that Riya was associated with Raj Kundra's production house and has worked in many adult movies.
