Rashtraiya Janata Dal (RJD) student wing's candidate Ravi Raj emerged victorious as the counsellor of the School of International Studies (SIS) in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), marking the party's presence in the premiere university students' union. Ravi Raj's win has garnered significant excitement within the student RJD wing, which celebrated the party’s achievement in Delhi and other parts. 

The student wing of the regional party, reflecting on this victory, highlighted its growing influence, noting that the organisation has carved out a distinct identity within the JNU in just a few years. The party praised the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav, calling him the most popular youth leader in the country. According to the RJD, the student body is increasingly drawn to  Tejashwi’s vision for a progressive and result-oriented future.

Notably, the success of RJD has not been limited to JNU. Recently, the RJD Teachers Unit achieved a significant win in the Delhi University Academic Council elections, where their candidate, Prof Vivek Rajak, triumphed and strengthened their presence among the university’s teaching staff.

Meanwhile, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) achieved a remarkable result in JNUSU elections, securing 23 out of the 42 counsellor posts across 16 schools and various joint centres. This is the highest number of seats claimed by any student organisation, giving ABVP a dominant presence in the JNU Student Union (JNUSU). A

BVP’s JNU unit president, Rajeshwar Kant Dubey, emphasised the significance of the win, stating that it reflected the student body’s preference for ABVP's positive change and leadership.
