Sabarimala Flights:  In light of the increased demand for travel during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, more flights between Chennai and Kochi have been added. In contrast to the five customary services, the average number of daily flights to Kochi climbed to eight.

Air India Express, SpiceJet, and IndiGo are the airlines running these routes. On this route, IndiGo has 40 weekly flights while SpiceJet has 20 weekly flights. Additionally, three flights that formerly connected Chennai and Bengaluru have been expanded to Kochi. On Sunday mornings, there is an additional flight leaving early from Chennai.

Chennai to Kochi had seven daily flights during the Mandalam season last year. Airlines have allowed the "Irumudi Kettu" to be transported as hand luggage to accommodate pilgrims. The expiration date of this clause is January 25.

Sabarimala Ropeway Project To Begin Soon

In order to build the Sabarimala ropeway, the Kerala government has ordered that 4.5336 hectares of forest land be exchanged for revenue land. The Kollam district's Kulathupuzha has been given the similar amount of land. According to authorities, development is anticipated to start in six months.

When forest land is turned over, the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change mandates that the Forest Department be given an equivalent amount of land to compensate for afforestation. The government has directed the Kollam District Collector to act on this matter immediately.

According to reports, the foundation stone for the Rs. 250-crore ropeway project connecting Pamba Hilltop to the area near the Sannidhanam police barracks will be set during the pilgrimage season. The ropeway is being built to ease the conveyance of critical supplies and emergency services.
