Sabarimala Train News: In response to the surge in passenger numbers during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, the South Central Railway has announced the addition of two special trains to Kerala. These trains will run between Moula Ali (Hyderabad) and Kollam, with a total of 12 services scheduled in both directions, making 29 stops along the route. Ticket bookings for these special trains have already commenced.

Sabarimala Special Train Schedule

The first special train, numbered 07193, will depart from Moula Ali station on December 11, 18, and 25 (Wednesdays) at 6:55 PM. It is expected to arrive in Kollam the following day at 11:55 PM. The train will travel through key locations including Nellore, Salem and Coimbatore. Notable stops include Palakkad at 3:40 AM on Thursday, Thrissur at 6:18 AM, Aluva at 7:07 AM, Ernakulam at 8:10 AM and Kottayam at 10:03 AM, before finally reaching Kollam.

The return journey from Kollam will take place on December 13, 20 and 27 (Fridays), departing at 2:30 AM and arriving at Moula Ali at 9:15 AM. This train will feature eight AC three-tier coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, three chair car coaches and one general second-class coach.

The second special train, numbered 07149, will operate on December 14, 21 and 28 (Saturdays). It will leave Moula Ali at 6:55 PM and reach Kollam at 10:30 PM the next day, travelling via Nellore, Salem and Erode. This train will also stop at Palakkad at 3:35 AM on Sunday and continue through several other stations before arriving in Kollam.

The return service from Kollam will run on December 16, 23 and 30 (Mondays), departing at 2:30 AM and arriving back at Moula Ali at 9:50 AM. Similar to the previous train, it will have a mix of AC and sleeper coaches.

These special trains are expected to alleviate travel demands for Sabarimala pilgrims, providing them with convenient transportation during the peak season.
