Sahibganj News: There is a proposal to construct a ROB at the railway crossing between Mirzachowki and Ambapali. The Railways has initiated this initiative. In this regard, the Railways has requested information from the district administration regarding land rates. After this, the cost of ROB construction will be assessed and further proceedings will begin, jagran.com reported
The face of the Mandar block is set to change in the next few years. Land has been earmarked for a medical and engineering college in ‘Paharpur Mouza’ (specific land area within administrative regions in India). The Mirzachowki police station will also be relocated there.
Several other educational institutions will also open here. 27 acres of land for the engineering college was transferred to the Higher and Technical Education Department in September.
Tenders are expected to be issued soon. 25 acres of land has also been earmarked for a medical college in this same mouza. According to administrative officials as quoted by jagran.com a team from Ranchi visited Paharpur mouza a few days ago to inspect the land for the engineering college. They found the land suitable.
After this, the report was submitted to the Higher and Technical Education Department. After receiving approval, the land was transferred. Discussions on the land earmarked for the medical college have not yet progressed. Meanwhile, the police department had requested land for the construction of the Mirzachowki police station. Three acres of land has been earmarked for this purpose.
This Land Is On Mirzachowki-Mandro Road
The identified land is located about 10 kilometres from Mirzachowki, along the Mirzachowki-Mandro main road. This land is government-owned, so the government will not need to spend any money on its acquisition. The Mandro block is predominantly tribal and is considered one of the district's backward blocks. The opening of medical and engineering colleges will accelerate the development of this area.

The world-famous Fossils Park was built in Mandar a few years ago. However, due to poor transportation facilities, there is still little public access. Land for a medical and engineering college has been under search for a long time in the district.
Approximately 494 acres of land has been earmarked for the airport in Hajipur Bhittha, Sadar block. Some of this land is state-owned and some is government-owned. Therefore, the acquisition of state-owned land will cost approximately four hundred thousand rupees. A detailed report has been sent to the government. A team from the Airport Authority of India will now inspect the land, after which further decisions will be made.
“Land has been earmarked for a medical and engineering college in Paharpur Mouza of Mandar block. The land for the engineering college has been handed over to the department. Construction work will begin soon. Three acres of land has also been allocated for the Mirzachowki police station. The face of Mandar block will be transformed in the coming years,” said Gautam Bhagat, Additional Collector, Sahibganj.
