Amid ongoing conflict with Pakistan and potential security threats from extremist organisations, the district administration has taken strict security measures. Flying drones has been banned in nine police station areas of the district. Section 163 has been implemented in the Commissionerate until May 25 to ensure public safety.

These areas have been declared as no-drone zones or temporary red zones, where any type of drone, paraglider, hot balloon, and other flying objects are strictly prohibited.
If any media person needs to use a drone in the restricted area for their work, they must take permission from the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). If a drone is found flying in the restricted area without permission, it will be destroyed immediately, Jagran reported.
