Seelampur murder: In a gruesome incident, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Delhi's Seelampur area on Thursday evening. The chilling act has sparked fresh concerns over the law and order situation in the national capital. The victim has been identified as Kunal, who stepped out of his house to buy milk but was stabbed some 100 metres away.

The assailants reportedly fled the scene. Kunal was rushed to the JPC Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Agitated by the gruesome act, the residents blocked the main road connecting Kashmiri Gate ISBT to Ghaziabad, bringing traffic to still. Reports claimed that the accused belongs to a specific community, which further added to tensions.

Given the delicate situation, a heavy police force was deployed. Meanwhile, the Seelampur Police has begun the investigation, and the crime team was called in to investigate the scene.

CM Rekha Gupta reacts

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta took cognisance of the murder and said, "I have spoken to the police commissioner about the murder of Kunal. The police are after the accused, and they will be caught soon. Justice will be served."

Meanwhile, the situation has took a worrying turn as the posters of "Hindu Exodus" have started to appear in the localities.

As per the India TV report, Hindu families have began putting posters outside their homes that express their intention to leave the area by selling their homes. The messages read: "Hindu Palayan, Ye Makaan Bikau Hai, Yogi Ji" (Hindu Exodus, This House Is for Sale, Yogi Ji).

3 murders within 24 hours

Nevertheless, Kunal's murder was not the only one in the last 24 hours. Two other killings shook Delhi. As per the NDTV report, one of the mentioned incidents took place in Central Delhi's Nabi Karim area, where an argument after a minor road accident turned to a major engagement, and a 34-year-old Mahendra was killed by two brothers, Lucky and Sagar. The accused killed Mahendra with screw driver. Both are currently at large.

In another incident, in Central Delhi's Punjab Basti, 24-year-old Ashish Anand was stabbed to death. Anand's mother alleged that four to five suspects killed him as part of a pre-planned conspiracy. As per the victim's mother, the accused was drinking alcohol in front of his house, and there were arguments earlier also. Police have arrested two suspects while hunt for others was on.
