Senior Journalist And Author Pervez Ahmed Dies At 75 In Delhi Hospital; Media Industry Mourns Loss

Delhi: Senior journalist and former president of the Press Club of India, Pervez Ahmed, passed away in a hospital in Delhi on Monday. The 75-year-old veteran was reportedly admitted in the hospital for the past few days. 

Ahmed was married to Sofia Shani, who is the daughter of famous writer Gulsher Shani. The couple have two daughters, Ruhi and Subuhi, who are also working in media. Born in Ujjain, Ahmed will always be cherished for his work in sports journalism. The media industry mourned this huge loss with several people expressing their grief on the social media platform, X.

Senior journalist Vinod Sharma wrote on social media that the writer, journalist and former president of the Press Club of India died at the age of 75.

Meanwhile, Prashant Tandon, condolating the demise of Parvez Ahmed said, "With great sadness, we inform you that senior journalist and litterateur Parvez Ahmed has left us forever."
