Aircrafts carrying dignitaries to Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on January 22 will also be stationed at airports of nearby districts. Ayodhya airport will receive at least 100 aircraft carrying dignitaries for the consecration ceremony of Ram temple on January 22. The aircraft will either stay in Ayodhya or fly to nearby airports in Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj.
The temple town will also be connected to eight more cities by flights starting from January 6. These include Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Goa, in addition to Delhi and Ahmedabad.
The Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, which is a 6,500 square metre airport can land two to three flights in an hour. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30.

PM Narendra Modi will also lead a roadshow and a public rally in Ayodhya on December 30 after inaugurating the Ayodhya airport. The Prime Minister’s visit is a precursor to the grand installation of the Ram Lalla idol on January 22 and a part of the government’s plan to boost religious tourism in Ayodhya.
The roadshow will span about 15 km from the airport to the railway station and go through various landmarks such as Dharam Path, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Ram Path, Tedhi Bazaar and Mohabra intersection, reported news agency IANS.
“The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Ayodhya airport first and then he will move to the railway station in a roadshow. At the railway station, he will flag off Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains, following which he will return to the airport by road and address a public meeting,” Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said.
