Karnataka Leadership Change Row: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday shared a cryptic post, saying the mandate given by the people of the state was not a moment, but a responsibility that lasts five full years. His 'five-year remark' comes at a time when there is a big buzz that his deputy DK Shivakumar is likely to replace him as a part of the 'secret' deal of rotation CM set up.
"The mandate given by the people of Karnataka is not a moment, but a responsibility that lasts five full years. The Congress party, including me, is walking the talk for our people with compassion, consistency, and courage. Our Word to Karnataka is not a slogan; it means the World to us," he mentioned in his note on X.
A Word is not power unless it betters the World for the people.

"A Word is not power unless it betters the World for the people. Proud to declare that the Shakti scheme has delivered over 600 crore free trips to the women of our state. From the very first month of forming the government, we transformed our guarantees into action; not in words, but on the ground," his X post read.
He further listed his government's schemes to highlight his achievements:
- Shakti – Over 600 crore free trips, restoring dignity and mobility to working women.
- Gruha Lakshmi – empowering 1.24 crore women-led families.
- Yuva Nidhi – 3 lakh+ youth supported with security and hope.
- Anna Bhagya 2.0 – Food security for 4.08 crore citizens.
- Gruha Jyoti – Free electricity for 1.64 crore families.
"In my first term (2013–18), 157 of 165 promises were fulfilled with over 95% delivery. In this term, 243+ promises out of 593 are already completed, and every remaining promise will be fulfilled with commitment, credibility, and care," the chief minister added.
Siddaramaiah Will Continue As CM: Son Yathindra
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah’s son and Congress MLC, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, claimed that there is no talk about the leadership change in Karnataka, asserting there was no complaint against the CM.

Power Sharing Talk In Delhi
Following an announcement by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on the power sharing issue, Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar stated on Thursday that they will go to Delhi if called by the high command.
In a major development, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said this morning that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister and state party chief DK Shivakumar will be summoned to Delhi, where the matter will be resolved amicably after a meeting with senior leaders.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru before leaving for Delhi, Kharge said, "We will call three to four leaders and hold meetings. The issue will be resolved. The discussion will take place in everyone's presence, and a decision will be taken later."
