In a shocking incident in Gurugram, a group of men allegedly took four minor children hostage and subjected them to horrific abuse at a paying guest (PG) facility in DLF Phase 3. The children, who were reportedly beaten, stripped, and even had petrol poured on their private parts, were released only after their mothers intervened and pleaded with the suspects.
The incident came to light when the mothers arrived at the scene and convinced the perpetrators to set the children free. Subsequently, an FIR was filed, leading to the arrest of two men. However, police are still searching for the remaining suspects involved in the crime.
The arrested men told the police that they had taken the children hostage because they suspected them of attempting to steal from a nearby under-construction building, according to a report by PTI. The suspects allegedly went to extreme lengths, including stripping the children, burning them with hot spoons, and pouring petrol on their private parts.
How the Incident Unfolded
On Monday, one of the mothers, upon returning home from work, discovered that her 12-year-old son was missing. While searching for him, she met another woman, who told her that her two children were also missing. The two women then began searching together.
During their search, they received information that several children were locked in a room and beaten at a nearby PG facility.
“(While looking for the children) we were informed that at a PG, some individuals had locked about three to four children in a room and were beating them," the complaint said, as quoted by PTI.
Upon arriving at the PG facility, the women discovered their children, along with another child, being held hostage by five to six men. Despite the abuse, the mothers were able to persuade the suspects to release the children after persistent pleading.
A formal complaint was filed on Tuesday, leading to the registration of an FIR and the arrest of two suspects. The police have since launched a search for the remaining individuals involved in the crime. Authorities have vowed to bring all perpetrators to justice.
