Tamil Nadu Railway News: The Southern Railway on Friday stated that several trains operating from Chennai Egmore are likely to originate from different stations or get temporarily terminated due to the ongoing construction works. While providing details, the authority stated that the trains will either commence from Chennai Beach or Tambaram for the next few days. The Southern Railway asserted that few trains will be diverted, adding that the coaches of Vande Bharat will also be revised. The authority further emphasised that the changes in schedule are likely to lead to inconveniences to the passengers. It further advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

These trains will be diverted/cancelled:

- The authority stated that the Chennai Egmore–Tiruchy Rockfort Express will depart from Tambaram station. It further stated that the train will depart at 12.03 am between September 11 and November 10.

- Train number 22662 Rameswaram–Chennai Egmore Sethu Express will end the services at 6.35 am.

- The authority further stated that the Tiruchy-Chennai Egmore Rockfort Express will terminate at Tambaram station at 03.30 am.

- Train number 12638 Madurai–Chennai Egmore Pandian Express will end services at Tambaram station at 4.45 am between September 10 and November 9.

- The Southern Railway clarified that train number 12637 Chennai Egmore–Madurai Pandian Express will continue to originate from Chennai Egmore station.

- The authority stated that train number 16752 Rameswaram–Chennai Egmore Mail will end services at Tambaram station at 6.45 am.

- Train number 22158 Chennai Egmore–Mumbai CSMT Express will depart from Chennai Beach station at 6.45 am from September 11.

The authority stated that the services will get back to normal once the construction work is finished, further advising the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly.
