Heavy rainfall continues to batter Gujarat with several districts under severe weather warnings as monsoon activity has picked up pace in the region once again. As per the weather forecast by the India Meteorological Department, around five Gujarat districts are under a red alert for extremely heavy rain. 

Gujarat Weather Today: Red Alert In Four Districts

 
The India Meteorological Department has issued alerts for various districts due to impending rain.
- Red Alert has been issued in five districts, named Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mehsana and Sundranagar. Extremely Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected, potentially causing landslides and flash floods.

- Orange Alert has been sounded in 9 of the districts in the state for Moderate to heavy rainfall predicted, requiring caution.

- Yellow Alert will be there in 21 districts as the weather department forecasts Scattered light to moderate rainfall, with possible disruptions today.
 
 

Gujarat Weather Forecast: Alerts To Remain In place Till Sep 8

Rain has been battering almost all the northern states of India, with flash flood alerts in Rajasthan, Gujarat. On the other hand, Punjab grapples with full fledged and one of the worst floods in the history of the state. The weather department has warned of incessant rain the Gujarat till September 8, as the Gujarat weather forecast till September 9 shows that there is a rain alert in the state till Monday, September 8.
 
Sunday Weather In Gujarat: Red alert has been placed in Banarkantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana and Kutch for extremely heavy rainfall, while orange alert is there in Sundernagar, Morbi, Aravalli, Gandhinagar, and Patan for heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places. The rest of the districts have been placed on a yellow alert for heavy rains with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places.
 
 
Gujarat Weather On Monday: All the districts in the state have been placed on a yellow alert thunderstorms, lightning with light to moderate spells of rains at isolated places.
