Tamil Nadu School Holiday on Dec 3: Are Schools and Colleges Open?
A holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in some districts on December 3rd, but this applies only to specific regions. In Kanyakumari district, local holidays have been declared for schools, colleges, and government offices in observance of the Kottar Peralaya festival.
This annual celebration is marked by great enthusiasm, with participants from Kanyakumari, as well as neighboring districts like Nellai, Thoothukudi, and Tenkasi, along with devotees from Kerala.
Due to the festival, December 3 has been declared a local holiday in Kanyakumari, meaning that schools, colleges, and government offices will be closed there.
According to IMD reports, the depression, a remnant of Cyclonic Storm Ditwah, is currently located over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas of the west-central Bay of Bengal, near the coasts of north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and southern Andhra Pradesh.
