Tamil Nadu Weather: According to Chennai Meteorological Department, rain will lash multiple Tamil Nadu districts over the next six days. As per the weather body, light rain, and thunderstorms are expected at isolated places over Dindigul, Theni, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Karaikal and Puducherry on Wednesday. On Thursday, showers will lash the adjoining districts. Light rain will also be witnessed by coastal districts from March 20 to March 22.
As per the weather body, the rain activity is being triggered by prevailing low-level circulation over the Tamil Nadu coasts. As per the weather body, Chennai will not witness rain and thunderstorm activity as of March 18.
Tamil Nadu Weather Update
March 18: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Dindigul, Theni, Thoothukudi and Coimbatore.
March 19: Light rain expected to lash Delta districts and Karaikal. Other districts of Tamil and Puducherry will see dry conditions.
March 20: South Tamil Nadu, Delta districts and Karaikal will witness light rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
March 21: Light rain is likely to occur at isolated places with thunderstorms and lightning at one or two places over Western Ghat districts and South Tamil Nadu. Dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
March 22: Light rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Western Ghat districts and South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
March 23: Light rain is likely to occur at isolated places over South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
