Indore Fire: In a tragic incident in Indore, eight people died after a fire broke out in a house in the Brijeshwari Annex residential area on Wednesday. The officials, while providing details, stated that the fire broke out after an explosion in an EV charging point. They further stated that the explosion further led to blasts in the gas cylinders stored in the house. The house belonged to a polymer businessman, and several flammable chemicals were also stored inside the house.

Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh stated that the explosion occurred while the electric vehicles were being charged outside the house. "According to preliminary investigations, an electric vehicle was being charged outside the house when an explosion occurred at the charging point," Singh was quoted as saying by Jagran.com.

The flames immediately engulfed the whole building as several flammable chemicals and gas cylinders were also stored inside the house. "The fire spread from the vehicle to the house. There were also more than 10 gas cylinders kept inside the house, some of which exploded. Seven people have died in this incident, while three individuals have been rescued. The house belonged to Manoj Pugalia, who was involved in the polymer business. Several flammable chemicals were also stored inside the house," he added.

Apart from this, Government Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Dean Dr Arvind Ghanghoria stated that the dead bodies were brought to a government hospital. He further stated that the two other injured people were discharged after they wanted to be treated at another hospital.

"Two persons rescued during the fire were also brought to the hospital. After receiving first aid, they expressed their desire to be treated at another hospital and were discharged," Dr Ghanghoria was quoted as saying by PTI.
