Tamil Nadu Weather Update: The Chennai Meteorological Department on Friday issued a very heavy rain alert for ten districts of Tamil Nadu for the next few days. The weather department further stated that along with heavy rainfall, the coastal regions are also set to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds at least till October 16. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in multiple key cities, including the capital city, Chennai. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences. The capital city Chennai is also set to receive moderate to heavy rainfall for the next day, along with strong surface winds.
Tamil Nadu Weather: THESE Districts To Witness Rainfall
October 11: The weather department stated that several districts, including Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Theni, Madurai, Sivaganga, Dharmapuri, Salem, Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, and Tirupattur, are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall.

October 12: Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is expected in various regions of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. While providing details, the weather department stated that heavy rain is likely in multiple districts, including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Theni, and Tenkasi.
October 13: Heavy rain is expected in the hilly areas of Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Dindigul, and Theni districts.
October 14: Light to moderate rainfall is expected in several key regions of the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions.
October 15: Moderate to heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, is likely at a few places in the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions.
October 16: Light rain is expected in multiple areas of the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions. The weather department stated that the residents are set to witness cloudy skies and gentle breezes for most parts of the day.
