Tejas Crash Video: A new zoomed-in video footage has surfaced on social media showing the final moments before the fateful crash of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft at the Dubai Airshow on Friday, November 21. The video showed the futile attempts of the pilot to control the aircraft just before it nosedived into the ground and turned into a ball of fire.
Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who was piloting the fighter aircraft, tragically lost his life in the incident, as confirmed by the IAF. The 37-year-old was performing low-level aerobatic stunts, called high-G manoeuvres, on the final day of the event when the jet went down.

Tejas Crash: Zoomed-In Footage
The zoomed-in shows the Tejas fighter jet from a close angle as it attempted a stunt with a few turns in the air before falling straight to the ground. Subsequently, the entire area where the crash took place was engulfed by a huge cloud of smoke and dust.

Earlier, a 9-second video had surfaced on Friday showing the exact moment of the crash. The fighter jet went down during a flight demonstration on the final day of the Dubai Airshow at Al Maktoum International Airport. Local media reported that the aircraft crashed while performing an aerial display before a large crowd.
Who Was Wing Commander Namansh Syal?
A resident of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, Wing Commander Namansh Syal was a young officer of the Indian Air Force. Son of a retired school principal, Wing Commander Namansh Syal cleared the NDA in 2009 and subsequently joined the Air Force.
According to Jagran.com, Syal was married to Afshan, who is also an officer in the Indian Air Force. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took to X to express his grief over the death of Wing Commander Syal.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sukhu wrote, “The news of the demise of Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district’s brave son Naman Syal Ji in the Tejas aircraft accident at the Dubai Air Show is extremely heartbreaking and heart-rending. The nation has lost a brave, dutiful, and courageous pilot.”
