A man in Telangana’s Khammam district has approached the police after allegedly discovering messages suggesting that his wife and another man were plotting to kill him.

G Rajeshwar Rao, a resident of Chilakodu in the Dornakal division, said he came across conversations between his wife Bhavani and her alleged lover Saidulu that raised fears for his life. He subsequently approached Dornakal police and submitted screenshots of the chats and other material as evidence.

Alleged Murder Plan Uncovered In Phone Chats

According to Rao’s complaint, Bhavani had allegedly developed a relationship with Saidulu, a courier delivery agent working in Khammam. Rao claimed that Saidulu would visit their home when he was away.

The situation took a serious turn when Rao allegedly found conversations between the two discussing his murder.

In one of the messages, Bhavani allegedly told Saidulu that the two could live together if he killed her husband. She allegedly advised him against carrying out the murder inside their home, fearing that it could raise suspicion.

Instead, according to Rao, she allegedly suggested making his death look like a road accident.

Rao further alleged that Bhavani threatened Saidulu in another conversation, saying that if he did not kill her husband, she would do it herself.

Police Register Case, Begin Verification

Following Rao’s complaint, Dornakal police initially registered a zero FIR before transferring the case to Khammam Rural Police Station.

Rao told police that he had noticed changes in his wife’s behaviour over the past few months. He also expressed concern for the safety of his two daughters and sought protection for his family.

Rao said he married Bhavani, who is from Raghavapuram in Suryapet district’s Mattampalli mandal, in 2016. The couple has two daughters, while Rao works at a private hospital in Khammam.

Khammam Rural Inspector M Raju said investigators were examining the screenshots and other evidence submitted by Rao.

"We have registered a case based on the complaint and are examining all evidence, including chat messages. The veracity of the allegations and evidence is being verified as part of the investigation," Inspector M Raju said.

Wife, Alleged Lover Yet To Be Traced

Police said Bhavani and Saidulu have not yet been located and efforts are underway to trace them.

The investigation is continuing, with police verifying the authenticity of the messages and the allegations made in Rao’s complaint.
