Thiruvananthapuram Bomb Threat: Security was tightened in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday after a bomb threat was reported at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and Cliff House, the Chief Minister’s official residence. Additionally, Kochi International Airport also reported a bomb threat early this morning, leading to immediate action by security forces.
Authorities received threats via email, with the Chief Minister's office and residence receiving their warning first. Kerala Police quickly cordoned off the affected areas and initiated thorough inspections using sniffer dogs and specialised teams. However, no explosives have been discovered at either location so far, as per India Today report.

Kochi Airport Bomb Threat
The bomb threat to Kochi International Airport was sent at 7:53 AM from the email address achimuthu_ahmed_shankar@outlook.com. The message claimed that an "RDX-based explosive device has been clandestinely planted" at the airport and demanded evacuation by 2 PM. In response, the airport's Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) convened at 8:55 AM to implement immediate security measures.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted anti-sabotage checks across all terminals, while the state police ensured similar protocols were followed on the city side. Airlines were instructed to heighten security for all flights in the southern region. Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has filed a complaint with state police and notified relevant stakeholders about the threat.
Thiruvananthapuram Airport Bomb Threat
This incident follows a similar bomb threat received by Thiruvananthapuram International Airport the previous day, which also prompted extensive searches by security personnel. Airport Public Relations Officer confirmed that bomb disposal squads were deployed to check the terminals after the threat was reported.
Thiruvananthapuram Hotel Bomb Threat
The recent wave of threats comes just a day after bomb threats were made against several hotels in the state capital. Police teams, along with bomb squads and dog units, conducted searches at these hotels, only to find that the threats were hoaxes, with no explosives located.
