The Trinamool Congress leaders, who sat on a dharna in the national capital on Monday, were detained by the Delhi Police. The party leaders were staging a dharna outside the Election Commission office demanding that the chiefs of CBI, NIA, ED, and Income Tax Department be changed.
The TMC leaders including Derek O'Brien, Dola Sen, Saket Gokhale and Sagarika Ghose, met a full bench of the Election Commission (EC) over their demands. The TMC has been claiming that the BJP-led Centre has directed the central investigative agencies to target opposition parties.
"The BJP is misusing central agencies against us. The way NIA, ED and CBI are working and targeting TMC leaders is shameful. We would requst the EC to ensure a level playing field for all political parties," Sen told reporters at the Kolkata airport before leaving for New Delhi.

NIA Team Attacked In West Bengal
The incident came two days after a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), that went to arrest two main suspects in a 2022 blast case in West Bengal's Purba Medinipur district, was attacked by the locals. While the incident erupted a controversy, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has questioned why the officials went to the place at midnight. She also stated that the locals reacted in the same way they would react to any stranger coming to their place at midnight.
