Weather Update: Temperatures are steadily falling across North India as the third week of November begins, bringing a noticeable shift in weather conditions. Several regions are experiencing rapid changes, and snowfall alerts have been issued for the hill states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Over the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred over Kerala, with isolated heavy falls. Light rain occurred along the southern coast of Tamil Nadu. Light fog was observed over eastern Uttar Pradesh and western Madhya Pradesh. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers are likely over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain is likely over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep. Isolated light rain is likely over Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram.

Cold Wave To Hit THESE States

Cold wave conditions may develop over parts of western Madhya Pradesh. Minimum temperatures are likely to gradually increase over central India, Maharashtra, and Gujarat over the next 2-3 days . A slight increase in minimum temperatures is possible over eastern India during the next 24 hours, with no significant change thereafter.

Cold To Increase In Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Bihar

According to IMD, strong winds, thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain are expected over the next three days. Snowfall is expected in the hilly states, leading to a sharp increase in the chill. Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh are on alert for a fog.

Fog Alert In UP

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather patterns will remain active in most parts of South and Northeast India from November 21 to 25. The weather body has issued a cold wave warning for several parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, a blanket of fog has begun to appear in many areas of Uttar Pradesh.

Temperature Drops Below 10 Degrees In Rajasthan

The cold is gripping several parts of Rajasthan, especially in the Shekhawati region. Fatehpur recorded a minimum temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius, while Nagaur recorded 6.2 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in most districts of the state remained above 10 degrees Celsius, still 3-4 degrees below normal.

South India Weather

In South India, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep Islands are expected to experience heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours. Lightning and strong wind alerts have also been issued for several areas. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Nagaland, Mizoram, and Manipur.

Delhi To Experience Severe Cold

The temperature in Delhi is expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius on November 21. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometres per hour in the morning. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Friday is expected to be 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 10 degrees Celsius.
