Several trains are cancelled, short-terminated, or rescheduled in West Bengal’s Assansol due to auto-signalling and non-interlocking maintenance work in the Mugma–Kalubathan section of the Asansol Division. Amid the repair work, four trains have been cancelled, one has been terminated, while five were rescheduled.
List of Cancelled Trains
Asansol–Gaya MEMU Express (13545) has been cancelled.
The railway authorities have Gaya–Asansol MEMU Express (13546).
Asansol–Barkakana MEMU (63555) has been cancelled too.
Amid the repair work, Barkakana–Asansol MEMU (63556) has also been cancelled.
List of Delayed Trains
Kolkata-Amritsar Express (12357) will depart with a delay of 60 minutes.
13151 Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express (13151) will run with a delay of 50 minutes.
Darbhanga-Charlapalli Express (17008) will depart with a delay of 90 minutes.
Patna-Dhanbad Intercity Express (13332) will run with a delay of 75 minutes.
On September 16, the Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express (13151) will run according to a rescheduled time, delayed by 30 minutes.
Terminated Train
The 13503/13504 Bardhaman-Hatia-Bardhaman Express will be short-terminated and short-originated at Asansol on September 15 and 16, which may affect travel plans for passengers on this route.
Meanwhile, the Railways announced that it will operate special trains between West Bengal and Assam to manage the extra rush during the major festivals, including Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath. As per the advisory, the decision has been taken to provide additional travel options to the passengers. The festive special trains will operate between Kolkata and New Jalpaiguri and Howrah and Lumding till December.
