What Led The Parents To Take This Extreme Step?

The investigation began following the discovery of the blood-stained body of a young man, identified as Dushyant, near a dry canal in Shampur village, under the jurisdiction of the Didoli Kotwali area.

While the death initially appeared to be a random act of violence or an accident, a detailed police investigation revealed that the victim's own family had allegedly orchestrated the killing.

According to a report by news agency ANI, citing police, Dushyant's drug addiction led to frequent domestic violence, physical assaults and constant disputes, which made life unbearable for his parents and siblings.

Exhausted by the ongoing abuse and disputes, the family decided to hire a professional hitman to 'eliminate' the problem.

The investigation revealed that the deal was struck with a local criminal identified as Jolly for a sum of Rs 5 Lakhs. The victim's mother pawned her gold jewellery to raise an advance payment of Rs 55,000.

Police have arrested the victim's father and brother. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime, citing Dushyant's uncontrollable addiction and the resulting domestic hell as their primary motive.
