UP Weather: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to see a shift as February ends. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain, accompanied by lightning, in 13 UP districts on February 27, Thursday. As per the weather department, there is a possibility of light rain in Mathura, Aligarh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Baghpat, Amroha, Moradabad, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur in UP on Thursday. Similar conditions are likely to prevail for the next two days. On Friday, February 28, rain is expected in more than 35 districts of the eastern and western divisions. The weather is going to be the same on March 1. IMD has also issued a yellow alert for the same.

According to IMD, the effect of this western disturbance will be visible on March 2. There is a possibility of a slight decrease in the maximum temperature in many districts of western UP after 24 hours. Whereas, there is no possibility of any significant change in eastern UP for the next three days. On Wednesday, the lowest temperature in UP was recorded in Ayodhya. The minimum temperature of the city was 9.5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the highest temperature was recorded in Jhansi. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 31.5 degrees Celsius.

IMD has also warned of a new western disturbance which will affect North and West India in early March. According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of Meteorological Centre, the effect of disturbance can be seen more on Friday in Lucknow. Due to the presence of clouds and increased humidity, the day and night temperature will increase slightly in the next 48 hours.

After the disturbance passes, strong winds will bring down the mercury again. Due to its effect, there is an alert of rain with thunder and lightning in many districts of NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh.
