Uttarakhand Crime: In a distressing incident, a young man raped his 9-year-old niece in an orchard. The innocent girl was taken by her father’s cousin, Afzal, who lured her onto his bike and took her to the orchard, where he sexually assaulted her. The police registered a case under the POCSO Act on Tuesday evening after the girl’s father filed a complaint as per a report by jagran.com.

The young man was a resident of a locality in the Manglaur police station area where a complaint was submitted a to the police. He reported that on the evening of April 27, his uncle’s son, Afzal, lured his 9-year-old daughter onto a bike. He then took her to an orchard near a school and raped her.

After the assault, the accused reportedly bribed the girl to keep quiet about the incident. He then dropped her near the school and fled. Upon noticing the girl’s condition, her family grew worried. After inquiry, they found out that she had been sexually assaulted. The police then registered a case under the POCSO Act based on the father’s complaint.
