Uttarakhand News: As many as two travellers were feared trapped and one sustained injuries in a landslide incident on Yamunotri trekking route at Nau Kanchi in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The incident took place on Monday, June 23.
Teams of SDRF and police were rushed to the spot for rescue and relief operations. The Garhwal Divisional Commissioner, Vinay Shankar Pandey, told ANI, “One person has been injured in the landslide incident on the Yamunotri walking route. Two people are feared to be trapped under the debris. Rescue operations are going on at the spot.”

The incident occurred around 3 PM on Monday when a report of two or three people being buried under debris surfaced. According to the latest information, police and SDRF pulled out one passenger from under the debris and sent him to the PHC Jankichatti Primary Health Center for emergency treatment.
Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya said the person, who suffered injuries in the landslide, was a resident of Mumbai and has been admitted to the hospital.
