Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off nine new Vande Bharat trains including two services on the South Central Railways (SCR) today. All the nine Vande Bharat trains will have eight coaches each. The new Vande Bharat trains will run on these routes: Indore to Jaipur, Jaipur to Udaipur, Puri to Rourkela, Patna to Howrah, Jaipur to Chandigarh, Chennai to Tirunelveli, Ranchi to Howrah, Jamnagar to Ahmedabad and Chennai to Hyderabad.
The new routes which will see a second Vande Bharat train for Kerala will run from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur to Udaipur, Vijayawada to Chennai, Tirunelveli to Chennai, Jamnagar to Ahmedabad, Ranchi to Howrah, Secunderabad (Kacheguda) to Bengaluru (Yesvantpur), Rourkela to Puri and Patna to Howrah.
Reportedly the Vande Bharat train service between the Kacheguda-Yesvantpur will be the fastest train on the route with the least journey time and will have a seating capacity of 530 passengers.

The Vande Bharat on the Vijayawada - MGR Chennai Central line will be the first and fastest train on this route. West Bengal will also get two more Vande Bharat train services between the Patna-Howrah and Ranchi-Howrah routes and the twin cities of Howrah-Kolkata.
The inauguration will take place via video conference and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will be present during the ceremony.
The new Vande Bharat will be painted in saffron and gray replacing their usual white-blue colours. The new services will help establish faster and better connectivity across states.

PM Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express on February 15, 2019, running between New Delhi and Varanasi. Meanwhile the Prime Minister will be visiting Varanasi on Saturday to lay the foundation stone of several developmental projects.

The Vande Bharat trains manufactured indigenously showcase India's engineering prowess and also promotes the "Make in India" initiative.
So far there are 25 operational routes on which the Vande Bharat trains run.
