Vande Bharat Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains from Varanasi. Earlier today, he reached the Banaras Railway station and inaugurated the trains virtually.

During the inauguration ceremony, he lauded trains like Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat and Amrit Bharat, saying that they are laying the foundation of a new generation of Indian Railways.

The four Vande Bharat Trains inaugurated today are: Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi and Ernakulam-Bengaluru.

Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express: Timing, Stations

The Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat will save approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes compared to the current special trains.

- The train will take around 7 hours 40 minutes to complete the journey. 

- Departing Varanasi at 5:25 am, it will reach Khajuraho at 1:10 pm.

- On the return journey, it will depart from Khajuraho at 3:20 pm and reach Varanasi at 11 pm.

- The train will halt at Vindhyachal, PrayagrajChheoki, Chitrakoot Dham, Banda, and Mahoba.

Lucknow-SharanpurVande Bharat: Timing, Stations

- The Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 518 km in 07:45 hours.

- The train will depart from Lucknow at 5:00 am and reach Saharanpur at 12:45 pm.

- During the return journey, the train will depart from Saharanpur at 03:00 pm and arrive at Lucknow Junction at 11:00 pm.

- The train will make six halts at Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee.

Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat: Timings, Stations

- The Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat train is the first Vande Bharat to the Malwa region.

- The Firozpur Cantt-Delhi Vande Bharat will depart Firozpur Cantt at 7:55 am and arrive in New Delhi at 2:35 pm.

- On the return journey, the train will depart from New Delhi at 4:00 pm and arrive at Firozpur Cantt at 10:35 pm.

- The train will halt at Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, and Panipat.

Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: Timings, Stations

- The Ernakulam- Bengaluru Vande Bharat will cover a distance of 638 km in 8 hours and 40 minutes.

- The train will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 5.10 am and reach Ernakulam at 1.50 pm.

- On the return journey, the train will start at 2.20 pm and arrive at KSR Bengaluru at 11 pm. 

- The train will halt at KR Puram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Thrissur.
