The staff on an Akasa Air flight offloaded two passengers after they allegedly misbehaved with cabin crew members, which caused a delay of more than one-and-a-half hours.
According to a report by India Today, the incident took place inside flight QP1358, travelling from Goa to Delhi, when the cabin crew was assisting the passengers in adjusting luggage in the overhead bag compartments.
The passengers were identified as Anup Bhargava and Chandan Mishra. They objected to a crew member, named Abhinav, handling his baggage.
They reportedly asked the crew member not to touch their bag. On explaining that he was only assisting with proper luggage placement, the passengers allegedly escalated the situation. Bhargava allegedly became aggressive and verbally abused Abhinav.

"Are you acting like a goon here? How did you touch my bag? Wait, I’ll show you my power," Bhargava was quoted as saying. He then pushed Abhinav. The cabin crew reportedly sought an apology to de-escalate the situation, but both passengers continued to be unruly.
As alleged misconduct continued, the Akasa Air crew decided to offload both Bhargava and Mishra.
Initially, Bhargava refused to leave the aircraft and started making calls to a couple of people, but other people intervened and aggressively asked him to exit.
A few moments later, the pilot of the Akasa Air flight made an announcement that Bhargava and Mishra were offloaded.
The decision to offload passengers was taken in line with safety protocols and to ensure the convenience of other passengers, as the flight had already delayed by 90 minutes.

Earlier, on January 13, an Akasa Air flight from Pune to Bengaluru caused major inconvenience to passengers. A last-minute technical snag caused all passengers to deplane, even after they had been seated inside the aircraft for nearly one and a half hours.
The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft was scheduled to depart Pune at 8:50 AM. The boarding for the same began around 8:10 am. According to a passenger onboard, the aircraft was ready for take-off when a sudden technical issue was detected. The departure was halted and passengers were instructed to disembark.
