Delhi BMW Crash: The BMW car crash accused, Gaganpreet Kaur, was not under the influence of alcohol while she was driving, the medical report established, News18 reported. According to Delhi Police, the blood sample report of the accused has turned out to be negative for alcohol consumption. Kaur was arrested after the death of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Navjot Singh (52), after his motorcycle was hit by her BMW. The accident occurred when the victim and his wife were returning home from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. His wife suffered serious injuries.
The Delhi Police filed a case against Kaur related to culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other charges after arresting her.

- Kaur's counsel advocate Vikas Pahwa claimed that the FIR in the incident contradicts what the DCP said in his press conference.
- Pahwa claimed the FIR was registered 10 hours after the incident. The incident happened at 1.30 pm and an FIR was filed at 11.30 pm, he added. "The information in the FIR contradicts the press conference of the DCP. It seems incorrect," the advocate said.

- Pahwa opposed her arrest, saying if someone dies because of rash and negligent driving, then it is a bailable offence.
- Kaur was sent to two days of judicial custody by the Delhi court after she was produced before the judge at her residence.
- The victim's family members questioned the handling of the aftermath of the crash. The FIR alleged that Kaur, took the victims to a healthcare facility more than 19 kilometres away from the accident site instead of any nearby hospital.
- Gaganpreet Kaur and her husband were treated before Navjot and his wife, despite their serious injuries, they alleged.
- The accused took Navjot Singh and his wife to Nulife Hospital, which is owned by one of her relatives, in north Delhi's GTB Nagar, more than 19 kilometres away from the accident site.
- When she was asked why she did not take them to a nearby hospital, she claimed that she panicked and only knew about that hospital because her children had been treated there during the COVID-19 pandemic.
