Delhi BMW Crash: Sandeep Kaur, the wife of the senior Finance Ministry official who died after getting hit by BMW in Delhi, reportedly told police that she kept questioning the accused on their hospital choice. Kaur stated that while she asked the accused to take them to a near hospital, they were admitted to a hospital almost 19-kilometers away from the accident site. The accused took the injured couple to a specific hospital because it is reportedly co-owned by the accused father. The Delhi police on Monday arrested Gaganpreet Kaur, the accused and stated that a detailed investigation has been ordered into the matter.

Sandeep Kaur, while providing details to the police stated that Navjot (the deceased) needed urgent medical attention, but the accused took them to a small hospital. "I kept requesting her to take us to a nearby hospital. My husband was unconscious and required urgent medical attention. But despite my repeated requests, she took us to a small hospital far away," Kaur told Delhi Police.

SheDelhi BMW Crash: FinMin Official's Wife Urged Accused Driver To Take Them To Nearby Hospital  further stated that the collision was so strong that the car overturned after hitting the couple. "The car was being driven so fast that it overturned after hitting our bike," Kaur told police. Apart from this, the family members of the couple also claimed that Navjot could have been saved if he was taken to a nearby hospital.

“My parents were travelling on a bike around 1 PM when a BMW X5, driven by a girl, hit them. They were taken to a hospital 22 km away. If they had been taken to a nearby hospital, my father could have been saved. My mother is severely injured,” the son of the couple stated.

Delhi Police reported that the couple, who lived in Hari Nagar, were travelling on a motorcycle when the BMW struck them near Metro pillar number 67. The collision pushed them towards the central verge, where they also collided with a bus travelling on the left.
