RJD leader and social worker Kedar Prasad Yadav organised a religious ceremony in Bhagwanpur, Vaishali, on Sunday, where a portrait of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was ritually bathed with 251 litres of milk.

The pooja was performed under the auspices of Pandit Abhay Acharya, who gave Vedic hymns and carried out the pooja according to Vedic practices. Kedar Prasad Yadav took part in the pooja and called Lalu Prasad Yadav an "avatar of Kaliyuga".

Kedar Prasad Yadav also compared former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav with Lord Krishna, and said that as Kansa was defeated by Lord Krishna and people were freed, Lalu had also fought for the rights of the poor.

Yadav said, “Lalu Prasad Yadav is truly a form of God. We consider him our God, which is why we are worshipping his portrait by performing the milk abhishek.”

251 Litres Of Milk Used In The Abhishek

According to the organisers, 251 litres of milk were used to perform the abhishek of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s portrait. Supporters also participated in the prayers and expressed their reverence for the RJD leader.

Such ceremonies have reportedly been organised by Lalu Yadav supporters in Bhagwanpur in the past. Sunday’s event saw supporters gather for prayers and the ritual bathing of the portrait.
