Weather Update: Recent heavy rainfall has led to significant destruction in hilly areas, particularly in Himachal Pradesh. Flood-like conditions have also affected several other states, including Rajasthan. In Wayanad, Kerala, the situation is dire, with hundreds of lives lost due to devastating landslides and severe weather. In response, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several states, including West Bengal, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura, warning of extreme rainfall today and tomorrow.

Weather Update: Heavy Rain In UP For Next 7 Days

The IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rain in Bihar, Chhattisgarh and parts of South India. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh is bracing for heavy rainfall, with forecasts suggesting continuous heavy showers over the next five to seven days.

Weather News: Orange Alert Issued For THESE States

IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar stated, “We have issued an orange alert for West Bengal, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura for today and tomorrow, where very heavy rain is anticipated. Additionally, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and other southern regions. Northwestern states like Uttar Pradesh should prepare for significant rainfall in the upcoming days. Meanwhile, Delhi NCR is only expected to see light rain.”

Weather News: Delhi Weather Update

In the National Capital, many areas witnessed rain on Sunday afternoon, providing some relief from the heat and humidity. IMD scientist Soma Sen explained that light rain is expected to continue today and tomorrow, but the heavier downpours are predicted to ease off after that. Further light rain can be expected in the following days.

Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and take precautions as severe weather conditions persist.
