With the onset of scorching heat, the mercury level in several regions has surpassed the 45 degrees Celsius mark. The states, which are primarily affected by the extreme hot weather include Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. As per the IMD, there could be four to eight heatwave days in different parts of the country in April. 10 to 20 heatwave days are expected in the entire April-June period. During the daytime today, the national capital Delhi will experience strong surface winds. However, the temperature will also cause some discomfort to people.

The minimum temperature in Delhi will be 24 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will reach 38 degrees Celsius. Compared to yesterday, Saturday's temperature was one degree lower. Meanwhile, the relative humidity stands at 60 per cent.

Heatwave Alert In Uttar Pradesh:

The weather department has sounded a heatwave alert in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Weather scientist Atul Kumar Singh said schoolchildren need to be extra cautious in such conditions. He said they should wear full-sleeved light-colored shirts and full-length pants. It's important to avoid exposure to the sun between 11 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon if possible, as they could be vulnerable to heatstroke.

Uttarakhand Weather:

The Director of the Meteorological Center, Vikram Singh, stated that on Sunday, the weather may change in many places in the state. In some plains areas, winds may blow at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour. The weather will remain dry in the plains areas on Monday and Tuesday. There may be snowfall at altitudes higher than four thousand meters. Partial clouds are also expected in Dehradun. An increase of one degree Celsius in maximum temperature is anticipated.

Hailstorm In Himachal:

Strong winds and hailstorms have caused significant damage to crops in Himachal Pradesh. Due to storms, hailstorms, and rainfall, wheat crops and flowers in apple trees have been damaged in the plains areas. A 3-inch snowfall was witnessed in Kyelang. According to the Meteorological Department, today, Sunday, there is a possibility of rain in some places due to the weak western disturbance.

Bihar Reeling Under Acute Hot Weather:  

Due to the strong hot winds, the temperature has significantly increased in most districts of Bihar. Saturday was the hottest day of this season. Sheikhpura recorded the highest temperature in the state at 44.1 degrees Celsius, which was 6.2 degrees Celsius above normal. With gusts of hot air, the temperature has been rising since ten in the morning, which continues until sunset. Similar conditions are expected for the next four days.
