Weather Update:  Extremely heavy rainfall is expected in several regions of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana on Thursday and Friday, July 18 and 19, according to the Indian Meteorological Department's forecast. Similar predictions have also been made for certain regions of Gujarat and Karnataka.

The IMD issued a red alert, stating that there is a very good chance of isolated, extremely heavy rainfall over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Gujarat State, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam on July 18 and 19, Tamil Nadu on July 18, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh on July 19 and 20, and south Odisha and South Interior Karnataka on July 19.

Meanwhile, extremely heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Himachal Pradesh on July 21 and in Uttarakhand on July 21 and 22, according to the weather agency.

The IMD reported around 3 PM on Thursday that there was a high probability of isolated areas in Mumbai seeing instances of moderate to heavy rain during the next three to four hours.

Rain With Thunder Likely In Delhi-NCR In Next Two Hours

The IMD also stated that within the next two hours, there is a high probability of light to moderate rainfall, mild thunderstorms, and lightning in a number of locations in Delhi (Badili, Model Town, Civil Lines, Mundaka, Seelampur, Shahadra, Nazafgarh), as well as the National Capital Region (Bahadurgarh, Dadri, Greater Noida).

According to the IMD weather forecast, severe rainfall is extremely expected between July 20 and 22 in isolated areas of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.
