Weather Update Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms for Delhi, along with widespread rainfall across several regions of the country. A deep depression over Southeast Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan is expected to bring heavy to very heavy showers in Southwest Rajasthan, North Gujarat, and Saurashtra-Kutch, with extremely heavy rain likely at isolated spots. 

Eastern and northeastern states, including Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur, are also bracing for heavy downpours, while Odisha may see another spell of intense rain.

Western And Northwestern India: Heavy Rainfall Expected

1. A deep depression over North Gujarat and adjoining Southwest Rajasthan has intensified and is moving towards Southeast Pakistan, Rajasthan, and Kutch.

2. On September 9, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Saurashtra, Kutch, and West Rajasthan.

3. Uttarakhand is expected to receive light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall between 12 and 13 September.

4. West Uttar Pradesh is likely to see similar conditions between 12 and 13 September, while East Uttar Pradesh will face them between 11 and 12 September.

5. The depression is expected to gradually weaken after moving westwards, and residents of low-lying areas have been advised to take precautions against possible waterlogging.

Central And Eastern India: Scattered Showers Continue

1. Central and eastern India will continue to see light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers, with the most significant activity expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.

2. West Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall on 14 September.

3. East Madhya Pradesh will see light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers on 10, 11, and 13 September, while Vidarbha will have similar conditions between 11 and 13 September.

4. Chhattisgarh is expected to witness light to moderate rain or thunderstorms between 9 and 14 September.

5. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are set for heavy to very heavy rainfall on 9 and 10 September, while Odisha will see moderate rain from 10 to 13 September with very heavy showers on 11 and 12 September.

6. Bihar is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers between 9 and 13 September, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will see light to moderate rain on 10 and 11 September.

Northeastern States: Isolated Heavy Rainfall Likely

1. Northeastern states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur are expected to see scattered showers with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some regions.

2. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will receive light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rainfall on 9 September and again from 11 to 14 September, while Nagaland and Manipur may see heavy to very heavy showers on 11 and 12 September.

3. Arunachal Pradesh will have light to moderate rain from 9 to 14 September with heavy to very heavy rainfall on 12–14 September, while Assam and Meghalaya will see similar conditions with intense showers likely on the same dates.

Southern Peninsula: Showers with Gusty Winds

1. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe will experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall on 9 and 10 September.

2. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are likely to receive light to moderate rain along with gusty winds of 30–40 kmph between 9 and 12 September.

3. Interior Karnataka will see light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers on 10 September, Rayalaseema will have similar conditions with gusty winds on 11 and 12 September, and Telangana is expected to experience light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rainfall from 10 to 14 September.

Delhi/NCR: Partly Cloudy with Scattered Light Showers

The capital region will have partly cloudy skies with occasional light rain or thunderstorms from 9 to 11 September, with daytime temperatures slightly above normal and nighttime temperatures near or slightly below normal.

Delhi/NCR will experience maximum temperatures of 33-36 Degree Celsius and minimum temperatures of 23-26 Degree Celsius, with varying northwesterly winds between 5-25 kmph over the three days.
