Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several states are set to witness a further drop in temperature in the next two to three days. The northern states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, are expected to witness a cold wave along with dense fog, especially in the early hours. The presence of fog has severely affected the train and flight services, leading to inconveniences for the passengers. The hilly regions are not likely to receive fresh snowfall; however, a severe cold wave is set to persist for the next few days. The weather department has advised the tourists to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly.
Delhi-NCR Weather
The national capital has witnessed a drop in temperature in the last two days. The weather department has clarified that the residents are set to witness a cold wave and dense fog for the next few days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 20 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 7 degrees Celsius.
Several flight and train services to the national capital have been disrupted due to the presence of dense fog. Apart from this, the weather department has stated that the air quality is not likely to significantly improve in the next few days.
Fog Likely In Bihar, UP
The residents of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are set to witness dense fog and a cold wave for the next few days. The presence of fog has lowered the visibility, leading to serious road accidents in these states. The farmers of these states are also advised to take precautionary steps to protect their crops.
No Fresh Snowfall In J-K, Himachal
The weather department has clarified that the hilly regions of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh are not likely to witness fresh snowfall in the upcoming days. However, a severe cold wave is expected in these regions, leading to a drop in the temperature.
