Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several states are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The hilly regions have been receiving continuous rainfall for the past few days, leading to landslides. The weather department informed that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. Apart from rainfall, the states are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The IMD has advised the residents and the tourists to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several northern states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand, are likely to receive rainfall on July 14. The national capital's residents anticipate moderate to heavy rainfall, which will alleviate the heat. However, the continuous rainfall has also led to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several key areas. The IMD stated that while the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 33 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 28 degrees Celsius.

The weather department stated that several parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal are also likely to receive rainfall. While the rainfall is likely to benefit the farmers, they have been advised to avoid visiting the farmlands.
