Winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour may accompany the rainfall. This could lead to a sharp drop in temperature. Monsoon activity in northwestern Rajasthan is expected to intensify from Thursday. Rainfall will also continue in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal during this period.

The southwest monsoon has fully spread across Bihar within a week. Most parts of the state are experiencing rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
