Weather News: Tripura is facing heavy rainfall and a flood-like situation, prompting authorities to close all schools across the state. This decision affects government, private and aided schools, as well as schools under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and Madrasas. All educational institutions will remain closed on August 22.
The Additional Secretary of the Education Department of Tripura announced this measure, citing extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain, landslides and flooding, as the reason for the closures. "Due to the current weather conditions, it has been decided that all schools shall remain closed on August 21 and 22," he stated.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in the northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Assam.

In its weather forecast, the IMD reported that Uttarakhand could see fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall. Scattered rainfall is predicted for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan over the coming week.
Weather Update: Heavy Rain In Goa, Gujarat, MP Until August 28
For central and western India, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Madhya Pradesh, Goa, and Gujarat until August 28. Chhattisgarh will see similar conditions until August 25, while Maharashtra may experience heavy downpours between August 24 and 27.
Weather News: Heavy Rain Forecast For THESE States In Coming Days
In the east and northeast, heavy rainfall is likely in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and several other states until late August. Additionally, heavy rains are forecast for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka in the coming days.
