Delhi News: A family of four from West Delhi's Uttam Nagar lost their lives in a road accident while returning from the Maha Kumbh. Om Prakash Arya, his wife Purnima and their two children, Ahana and Vinayak, were travelling back after taking a holy dip when the incident occurred.
Om Prakash, a chartered accountant who had recently earned a law degree, had left for the pilgrimage on Saturday morning with his family. The trip was meant to celebrate his academic achievement, as he had received his degree just a day before.

Neighbours Recall Plans
The family’s neighbours, particularly Twinkle and his wife, were devastated by the news. Twinkle shared that the Aryas had visited their home the night before leaving and had planned to have dinner together upon their return to discuss their Maha Kumbh experience.
Throughout their visit, Purnima shared live updates through video calls, showing moments from their boat rides at Triveni Sangam to their temple visits. Neighbours recalled how she appeared joyful during the trip and was eager to share the experience.
Residents of Subhash Park described the Aryas as a close-knit and cheerful family. The sudden loss has left the building’s residents in shock. “It’s difficult to accept that such a happy family is no longer with us,” a neighbour said.
In separate news, charred body of a woman was discovered in a burning bag in Delhi's Ghazipur area near the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border early Sunday. Police suspect murder and have arrested two individuals. The body, dumped from a vehicle around midnight, lacked identification, complicating efforts to establish the victim's identity. CCTV footage shows the bag was likely thrown from a car coming from Kondli. Authorities believe the murder occurred elsewhere, with the body being disposed of in Ghazipur. A case has been registered for murder and evidence destruction. Police have sought public assistance in identifying the victim or reporting missing persons.
