Vande Bharat Trains For Rajasthan: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday held a key meeting with senior officials in Jaipur, Rajasthan. After the meeting, Vaishnaw spoke to mediapersons about the decisions taken in the meeting. Giving updates on the Vande Bharat trains for Rajasthan, he said the preparations for the Jodhpur to Delhi Vande Bharat, which was announced some time back, are almost complete and it will start very soon. Similarly, the Bikaner to Delhi Vande Bharat is also ready to be rolled out.

The Union Minister also announced that an effort is being made to start the Jaisalmer to Delhi Overnight Express. Recently, the Railway Ministry approved a new Vande Bharat train from New Delhi to Bikaner in Rajasthan.

Big Maintenance Terminal Is Being Built In Khatipura, Jaipur: Vaishnaw

"A big mega maintenance terminal is being built in Khatipura, Jaipur. The facilities developed here will include the maintenance of Vande Bharat. The maintenance of other coaches will be done in a very large number. This will lead to a lot of economic activity here. Along with that, another decision was taken that all the preparations for the Jodhpur to Delhi Vande Bharat, which was announced some time back, are almost complete. It will start very soon. Similarly, the Bikaner to Delhi Vande Bharat will also be launched soon. A new effort will also be made to start the Jaisalmer to Delhi Overnight Express," he said.

Recently, the Railway officials said that the sanctioning of Vande Bharat has fulfilled the long-pending demand of the people of Rajasthan, as it will reduce the travel time of an over 450-km journey by at least one-and-a-half hours.

"At present, about half a dozen trains are arriving from different stations and serving passengers travelling between Bikaner and Delhi as well. These include trains like Intercity Express and Bikaner Superfast Express, which run exclusively between the two cities," a railway official said.

"The fastest among them is the Bikaner Duronto Express, which takes 7 hours and 20 minutes. The new Vande Bharat can reduce the total travel time to less than 6 hours," he added.

Another decision was taken today that in collaboration with the state government, a good incubation centre should be set up for startups so that startups can get mentorship, the Union Minister said, adding that an idea has also been put forward today during this meeting that startups should get the facilities they need to sharpen and finalise their concepts.

In this, both the Government of India and the State Government will work together and in the coming few months, we will bring this concept in front of you all, he added.
