Mysore BJP MP Pratap Simha:  Pratap Simha, the BJP Member of Parliament has been in focus since the Lok Sabha was intruded by two people in a major security lapse on Wednesday. According to media reports, the duo was issued passes on the recommendation of the BJP MP from Mysore. The BSP MP Danish Ali also confirmed the reports by saying that at least one of the passes recovered from them was issued by MP Pratap Sinha.

Who is Pratap Simha, Mysore BJP MP?

BJP MP Pratap Sinha represents Mysore constituency in Karnataka. A two-time MP, Simha won the seat in 2014 with 43.46% of votes in 2014 and increased his vote share to 52.27% in the 2019 elections. According to the Police, one of the accused in the security breach - Manoranjan D - belongs to Mysore. Manoranjan, a 35-year-old engineer lives with his father and has completed his B.tech from Mysore Vivekanand University in Bengaluru.

The 42-year-old MP is a former journalist and a well-known columnist. Son to Late BE Gopal Gowda, He has a master's degree in journalism. He started as a journalist in Vijay Karnachak Samachar. Pratap has also written a biography on PM Narendra, titled 'Narendra Modi: Yaaru Thuliyada Haadi' (Narendra Modi: The Untrodden Road).

With the massive security lapse in Lok Sabha following two men jumping in the House from the visitor's gallery, the visitor's entry to the Lower House has been restricted for the time being.
